      Task Templates

      FlatRateNOW prides itself on the development of a powerful catalogue infrastructure that allows users to create a range of different templates.

      As a standard, your in-app catalogue comes equipped with over 2,000 pre built tasks across Plumbing, Electrical, Solar and HVAC that are ready to be used immediately.

      We know that not all businesses approach tasks in the same way, so you have the ability to modify our templates and also create your own.

      At your finger tips, you have the following templates you can use to create your own tasks from scratch, and here is a brief description of each:

      • Labour & Material: Typically used as the 'One Time Task'. You preset the heading and descriptio so that your staff manually enter the time and total material value they're charging the client.
      • Standard: Most common task in the catalogue. The 'Standard' Template is used for static pricing such as Servicing or Product Driven, where you display a list of products for the user to select from.
      • Excavation/Drainage (m3): This task is typically used for digging jobs. Once the user has entered the length, depth and width, it will calculate the total cubic meters. Depending on your settings, it will then calculate the total time and produce a price in-app.
      • The 'Per m' templates: As the titles state below, each of these matrix templates focus on a key type of just that requires meter runs. The difference between these templates are:
        • Guttering/Downpipes (per m): I include the ability to surcharge if more than a single storey property
        • The difference between the both 3 is that each have their own 'loading'. Otherwise, these three are simply the same.
          • Relining (per m)
          • Wiring (per m)
          • Piping (per m)
      • Switchboard: The 'General' matrix. This matrix is the most common matrix used as it is the most versatile. If you want to build a matrix, we typically recommend using the 'Switchboard' matrix, which will soon be renamed as 'Standard' Matrix because it truly is just so useful.
      • HVAC: The 'Complex' matrix. This matrix is not common - it has the capability of producing an awesome task to be used on-site but it requires a lot of preparation. The difference between this matrix and the 'Switchboard' matrix is that you can set the list of accessories to change according to the product selected.
